Planning an Oklahoma City bachelorette weekend
The drink rules, getting around and when to go.
An Oklahoma City bachelorette party is a friendly destination trip: a hotel, rooftop cocktails, a night of live music or pianos, breakfast in Midtown and one activity. The fare-free streetcar covers the center, and a ride covers the rest.
Drink rules
The drinking age is 21. Bars serve from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. and may not serve more than two drinks to one person at once, sell unlimited drinks for a fixed price to the public, or run drinking games. You cannot leave a bar with an open drink. Passengers may drink on a chartered bus or limousine, but not in a rideshare or a car. Liquor stores close on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and Sunday liquor sales depend on the county: yes in Oklahoma County, no in the Canadian County part of the city.
Getting around
EMBARK buses do not serve the airport; taxis and shuttles wait at baggage claim and Uber and Lyft pick up on the upper level. The streetcar's Bricktown Loop runs Friday to Sunday.
When to go
NOAA normal highs are about 71 degrees in April, 79 in May and 73 in October, against 93 in July. In 2027, Festival of the Arts runs April 22 to 25, the Memorial Marathon April 23 to 25, the Paseo Arts Festival May 29 to 31, and the Women's College World Series starts June 3.
The canal by streetcar, the arcade by ride, and no drink out the door.
