Planning the celebration: the rules, the calendar and the money
What the crew should know first.
A Raleigh bachelorette party is a rooftop in the Warehouse District, a night on Glenwood South, brunch with live music and a drag show at Legends, at about $870 a head for two nights as a Revelwick estimate. The planning is about the college calendar and where you can carry a drink.
Drinks and the law
The drinking age is 21. Bars stop selling at 2 a.m., drinks must be finished by 2:30 a.m., and Raleigh allows sales from 10 a.m. on Sunday. ABC liquor stores close by 9 p.m. and all day Sunday. Outside the Sip n' Stroll district and its hours, drinking beer or wine on a city street is a misdemeanor. Passengers in a hired vehicle may drink; in a private car they may not.
When to go
NOAA normals at RDU give highs of about 73 degrees in April and October and 91 in July, and September is the wettest month. The State Fair runs October 15 to 25, 2026, NC State, UNC and Duke all play at home on October 31, 2026, and spring graduations fall on May 8 to 9, 2027.
Where the money goes
Rooms are the largest line at about $300 a head, then food at about $250, getting there at about $180 and the night out at about $140.
